Bremer snags two insurance agencies

Bremer Bank's insurance business has expanded its Minnesota presence through the acquisition of two additional agencies..The St. Paul-based Bremer Insurance bought Rochester's Pendle-Hansen-Bagne Agency and Nonprofit Insurance Advisors..Through the purchase of PHB, Bremer Insurance will gain the agency's current book of business as well as a number of seasoned staff members, including Scott Bagne, the agency's president. He and his team will work out of the Bremer Bank located on 28th Street Southeast in Rochester. .Nonprofit Insurance Advisors was established by the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits to serve the insurance needs of its members throughout the state. In addition to acquiring the organization's insurance business, Bremer will partner with MCN going forward to provide insurance and risk management solutions to their nonprofit members statewide.."These acquisitions are great examples of how we're taking advantage of key opportunities to grow our business," said Mark Schmiel, Bremer Insurance president.
